I'm Chris Immanuel Matthew — I build things on the internet, chase down ideas across science and language, and I'm happiest when a project makes someone stop scrolling for a second.
About
A student who treats the internet like a workshop.
I study at Devamatha CMI International School, but most of what I actually learn happens after homework's done — in half-finished GitHub repos, in browser tabs about quantum mechanics, in the fifteenth attempt at a hover animation that finally feels right.
I don't stick to one lane. Some nights I'm deep in a CSS layout bug; other nights I'm reading about marine ecosystems or trying to untangle a new language's grammar. I like it that way — the more fields I touch, the more ideas I have to steal from one and bring into another.
What I enjoy

Drawing
Sketching whatever's stuck in my head that day — characters, diagrams, half-invented worlds.
Coding
Front-end mostly. I like when an interface has a personality instead of just working.
Reading
Science, language, and the occasional rabbit hole I fell into at 11pm and regret nothing about.
Badminton
Fast, precise, unforgiving of a bad reaction time. I play to get better, not to relax.
Swimming
The one place my brain actually goes quiet. Laps are basically meditation with a stopwatch.
Rollerskating
Balance, momentum, and just enough risk to keep it interesting.
Geopolitics
I follow world events like some people follow sports — and I'd love to turn that into countryball animations one day.
Custom systems
I like designing things from scratch — a file format, a UI system, a language. Structure is its own kind of art.

Small builds, mostly self-directed, all aimed at learning something I didn't know how to do the week before.
A running series of personal websites and layout studies — this one included — where I test typography, motion, and structure ideas before reusing them elsewhere.
Interactive front-end pieces — loaders, buttons, hover effects — built and shared publicly for other developers to drop into their own projects.
A growing set of code experiments and small tools — some finished, some deliberately left open as sandboxes for the next idea.
Early-stage ideas for a file format of my own — thinking through structure, syntax, and what makes a format actually pleasant to work with.
Self-directed study into how AI systems work — less about using the tools, more about understanding what's happening underneath them.

Before any of this had a name, it was just books, sketchbooks, and a habit of asking "but why" one too many times.
Falling into web development
Started with simple pages, then got hooked on the feedback loop — change a line, refresh, watch something move differently.

Turned scattered trivia into a competitive habit, and the habit into a genuine love of cross-subject knowledge.

Moved from building privately to putting things online — components, videos, and code other people could actually use.

If it doesn't feel intentional, it's not finished. Structure and creativity aren't opposites — they're the same tool.
